A Workshop on “How to develop a Graduate Program” held by Deanship of Graduate Studies

Based on the graduate studies programs submitted by colleges for approval, the Deanship of Graduate Studies conducted a workshop in the presence of 23 staff from different colleges –including vice-deans for graduate studies and heads of scientific departments- to introduce them to the details of how to develop a graduate study program and to highlight the prominent features of these programs.
The Dean of Graduate Studies, Prof. Abdullah Al-Suwaiket began the workshop by highlighting the aim of this workshop which is basically to introduce colleges to practices and standards of developing graduate study programs and to avoid mistakes made by colleges seeking approval for their programs as well as to overcome the potential obstacles that may face colleges in developing new graduate study programs.
The courses which will be provided by the deanship during this year will be focusing on two major themes: increasing the efficiency of standing programs and improving the skills of both faculty members and graduate students in different areas.
The vice-dean for education affairs, Dr. Bader Al-Sulami said that all staff at the deanship are glad to provide any kind of help that may improve the quality of study programs suggested by colleges for graduate students. Customized-workshops and courses can even be held for colleges.
