the number of beneficiaries of training courses at the Deanship of e-learning increases by 39%

A  recent report by the Agency of  Development and Quality at the  Deanship of e-learning and distance learning stated  significant growth in the number of training courses and the number of beneficiaries from development and training programs carried out by the Deanship during the past three years, starting from 1432/1433. The Deanship carried out  during the last academic year more than (144) with training hours that reached (1668), and more than (2600) faculty members benefited  from them. Also, the report included the development of training compared to previous years and  it showed a tremendous growth rate of about 600% in the number of training courses and the growth in the number of beneficiaries which reached 39% in the academic year 1434/1435 compared to the academic year 1432/1433.  Also faculty members had the biggest part of training programs implemented by the deanship for all colleges of the university in and outside Majmaah, where the colleges spread in several provinces, including Zulfi, Majmaah, Ghaat, Haotat Sudair and Rummah.

The report noted for the contribution of the Deanship in achieving the objectives of the university by participating in community service, where many courses and outside activities were carried out during the academic year 1434/1435 through training and e-learning community bus in partnership with the Deanship of Community Service. Also, the report pointed out that during the last year the deanship carried out "training of accredited trainers on the Desire2Learn LMS" courses which is the training program dedicated to the formation of trained team from the university in order to rely on them in the development of the faculty members skills at the LMS adapted by the university considering the human resources represented by faculty member areal fortune of the university.

Dr. Ali bin Hamoud Al-Harbi the Vice-Dean of Development and Quality stated that this growth is due to the faculty members  awareness of the importance of professional growth and development, and the availability of the enormous resources and expertise at  the Deanship, and he added that the emergence of the Deanship of e-learning and distance learning in particular, as the most important supportive deanship and the most presence at the university, and being distinguished among other Deanships  in Saudi emerging and old universities after God blessing is due to the intensive follow-up of  His Excellency the Vice-Rector and Dean of e-learning Dr. Musallam bin Mohammed Al-Dosari, beside the great support and attention  the Deanship  receives  from the Rector Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Mugren .

It is worth mentioning that the training represents the essence of the Deanship of e-learning and distance learning work is one of the most important activities, and the deanship seeks to resettle eligible training expertise in this field and self-reliance on internal efficiencies at the university to reach a complete training system with quality assurance according to international standards.
