A Delegation from the Deanship of E-learning Views the Finnish Experience in E-Learning

Upon approval and guidance of the Rector Dr. Khalid bin Saad Muqrin, and pursuit from the Dean of e-learning and distance learning, Dr. Musallam Bin Mohammed Al-Dosari. A delegation from the Deanship of e-learning and distance learning attended a training course “Instructional Design for E-learning in the 21st century”, which was organized by the national Centre to e-Learning in cooperation with Haga Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland, with the participation of Saudi universities and governmental organizations. The delegation included the Vice Dean and representative for Academic Affairs Dr. Khalid Al-mudairbi, the Deanship adviser Dr. Omar Saidi and Dr. Ali Al-Harbi, and the deanship members Abdulilah Al-Salloum, and Maryam Falah Al-Otaibi. The purpose of the visit was to see the leading technologies and e-learning software used in education, as well as the Finnish experience in the development of the education system, and integration of technical and educational software of e-learning in education. Also, the delegation visited a number of Finnish educational institutions and universities to view the available resources and how to take advantage of it to develop the system of teaching and learning at the university. Also, the delegation made a presentation on the University experience in this field. The delegation was briefed on the experience of universities and authorities in Saudi Arabia to invest the systems of e-learning. And in this occasion, the Dean of e-learning Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari and members of the delegation expressed their gratitude and thanks to the Rector for showing interest and eagerness to benefit our university from all successful experiences that contribute to the development of the educational process at the university.
