The Deanship E-learning and Distance Learning Participates in the 11th Seminar at King Khalid University and Sets Specialised Training Courses

 
In accordance to the invitation from the National Centre of e-learning and distance learning for the University represented in the Deanship of e-learning and distance learning, and based on the guidance of the Rector Dr. Khalid Bin Saad Al-Muqrin, a delegation from the Deanship of e-learning and distance learning participated in11th seminar at King Khalid University which was organised by theNational Centre for e-learning and distance learning in the presence of the Deans of e-learning and distance learning in Saudi universities. The delegation included His Excellency the Dean of e-learning and distance learning, Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari and His Excellency the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Khalid Al-Mudairbi and the advisors of the deanship: Dr. Hisham Al-Saqeer, Dr. Omar Al-Saeedi, the director of the training unit Faisal Al-Shammari, Majid Al-Mutairi and Abdulaziz Al-Essa. In this regard,His Excellency the Dean of e-learning and distance learning, Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari announced that during the regular meeting of the deans of e-learning a number of issues had been discussed, the most prominent of which were:
 
  • The mechanism to enhance communication between the deans of e-learning with each other, and with the National Centre for e-learning.
  • The mechanism and the possibility to participate in making use of digital content in the universities.
  • Discussing the difficulties facing the development of courses, and the suggested solutions.
  • Studying the experiences of universities in the fields e-learning especially in the field of courses development and taking advantage with documentation.
 
Also, His Excellency noted that the deanship had participated in the events associated with the seminar through providing specialised training courses, where Faisal Al-Shammeri presented a training course for deans of e-learning and those who are interested in e-learning to develop the digital content. This was upon a request and invitation of the National Centre of e-learning and distance learning. 
The experience of the Deanship of e-learning and distance learning at Majmaah University to spread the culture of e-learning and its services and its educational projects offered to the faculty members and students was highly praised by the participants in this seminar.
It should be noted that the delegation of the deanship perused the latest educational technology in the exhibition of the seminar. Also, the delegation met with a number of representatives of specialised companies to view services that may be useful for the university.  
At the conclusion of a statement by His Excellency Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari and the accompanying delegation expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Rector for his continuous support for the deanship through supporting its participations in various forums,which gives the employees of the deanship the appropriate expertise that qualifies them to work on the development of e-learning tools mechanisms in the university.
