The College holds a workshop entitled "Following up on academic advising for outstanding and underachieving students"

The Academic Advising Unit at the Applied College held a workshop entitled: "Following up on academic advising for outstanding and underachieving students" on Tuesday for faculty members to learn about the academic guidance for outstanding and underachieving students.

The Executive Vice President of the College and the head of the Unit, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Arifi, moderated the workshop and began by a speech highlighting the importance of enhancing effective communication between the academic advisor and students.

The Secretary of the Unit, Dr. Faisal Nafie, addressed a number of topics, including:

 

•    Introduction to the Academic Advising Unit 
•    Academic advising tasks and programs.
•    Academic advising skills.
•    Definition and tasks of the academic advisor.
•    Electronic services available to the academic advisor through the academic system portal.
•    Academic advising procedures and processes through the academic system portal.
