-       The University Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research – Chairman

-       A faculty member on behalf of every college or institution who is minimally associate professor and to be appointed by the university board based on the nomination of the college or institution as well as the endorsement of the Rector.

1- Recommending the recruitment of faculty members at Majmaah University.

2- Making the ultimate decision with regard to the promotion of faculty members in accordance with the regulations of Higher Education Board.

3- Promoting scientific research, publication and transition including :

-       Setting rules to encourage academic publications

-       Setting the financial rewards for publication

 The establishment of the scientific board is of paramount significance for the achievement of the University overall objectives. There are a number of functions for the board including : the recruitment of faculty members, Making the ultimate decision with regard to the promotion of faculty members, Setting rules to encourage academic publications, Recommending the establishment of academic institutions and the coordination with quality centers.

The establishment of the scientific board is of paramount significance for the achievement of the University overall objectives. The scientific board provides various services to all faculty members and researchers. The board acts in accordance with the functions stipulated by the ministry of Higher Education in the Kingdom as well as the vision of the University. The function of the board exceeds the application of regulations to developing and revising the regulations and communicating with organizing sectors if necessary.
