As part of the university’s efforts to promote the culture of traffic safety, ‘Salik’ Center for Traffic Safety held in cooperation with the Social Responsibility Observatory an awareness program entitled “ Our School Broadcasting for Safety”. The program is basically targeting high school students to raise their awareness with issues related traffic safety to fulfill the goals of the traffic education plan launched by ‘Salik’ Center. MU launched an original initiative targeting drivers and students alike to increase their safety awareness in and outside buses. “Be cautious” initiative aims primarily to increase students and drivers’ awareness when they come to a stop and unloading students. The Traffic Safety Awareness Center ‘Salik’ at MU launched a campaign for heavy vehicles drivers to increase their safety awareness while driving.
The campaign, under the theme” pay attention”, aimed to educate drivers of heavy vehicles to be more cautious while driving on main roads and inside cities.
Similar raising-awareness activities were held for truck drivers to promote the traffic safety awareness and to avoid some common mistakes.
