Dr. Praveen R.P Presentation
As part of sharing the research ideas from among the members of Faculty of EE department, Dr.Praveen R.P. delivered a presentation on the topic "Advances in Solar-Thermal Energy Systems" on 3/3/2020 in the Meeting Hall of College of Engineering. The presentation highlighted on the different technologies of Concentrated Solar Power Generation such as Parabolic Trough and Central Receiver solar thermal systems. Dr.Praveen also stressed on the importance of this technology for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia so as to meet the Renewable energy targets of KSA in accordance with Vision 2030. The talk concluded with the scope of future research in the concerned area and overall the presentation was very informative for all the faculty members.

Dr. Ahmad Galal Presentation
In the seminar, a complete analysis for a DFIG wind power generation system is presented in un balanced grid voltage. The controller was implemented to connect the DFIG system to the grid even in continuous wind speed variation. In addition, an enhanced controller for connecting the DFIG to the grid in unbalanced grid voltage was presented. Finally, the experimental results for both controllers were discussed.

The Fifth meeting of EE department
Head of the department Dr. Ali Al Ghamedi and faculty members attend the fifth meeting and welcome Dr. Ibrahim Almutairi and Abulaziz Al Twejri who competed their scholarships and rejoin the department and wish them all the best, then Dr. Al Qwasmi EE department quality coordinator presents a program to automate follow up execution of the operational plan of the department for NCAAA accreditation and listen to the faculty comments and questions and answer them.

Dr. Ali Alghamidi Head of the department and faculty members attend a meeting to discuss applications of new applicants for assistant professor position in the department, readiness of teaching and laboratories facilities and equipment's, preparing and readiness of the department for NCAAA accreditation, and proposed training programs for EE students.
