Within steps of the transformation of e-transactions HE Vice Rector views the e-transport system and the experimental system for tracking buses using (RFLD) technology

In the context of the university pursuit to convert its transactions electronically according to the general plan of transition to e-government and in knowledge of its needs within its strategy to develop e-services HE the Vice Rector, Dr. Musallam bin Mohammed Al-Dosari viewed a presentation on the e-transportation system of university its access, features and link for students' registration of those who wish to go bus. The General Administration of facilities and services represented by the Department of Transportation produced this system in the presence of HE the Vice Rector and some officials at the university, led by the General Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Aba Hussein and his assistant Mr. Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Mousa and the Director of Purchasing Management Mr. Abdullah bin Hassan Al-Aulah in addition to a number of the IT Deanship officials led by the Vice Dean of systems and e-services Mr. Talal bin Abdi Al-Harbi and other officials of services management at the Deanship. Also, attendees had a look at the experimental system for tracking buses using (RFLD) technology, and it was applied on one of the university buses during students' departure. This system allows to monitor the buses movement and adjusts the process of students' entry and departure and then it reports the guardians and the supervising authority of transport via message containing the reached location coordinates and time taken via a card handed over to each student and read at each bus and send messages to the monitor system in the transport department. The path and Information about buses are defined and students benefiting from service are registered  electronically. Also, the system can observe the speed limit of the bus and the time it takes in case of stopping, and then send an alert message to the supervising authority the transportation in case the driver exceeded the speed limit or departure time in addition, the system provides the possibility of sending SOS message in case of emergency. 
At the end of the presentation HE the Vice Rector ordered the supervising transportation authority to coordinate with IT Deanship to study the technical aspects of this project with the e-transport system of university and submit a detailed report on that in order to study the possibility of applying it in the beginning of the next academic year to offer all that serve and facilitate for parents of students to follow their transportation from home to college and the opposite in order to reassure and follow up their daughters within long destinations.
