Vice-Rector in 9th Meeting for Students with Disabilities

Upon the invitation of the Secretariat General of GCC and the orders of the University Rector, Dr. Khalid Almugrin to activate the integration principle among GCC universities and higher education institutions, The Vice-Rector, Dr. Musallam Aldousary, participated in the 9th Follow-up Committee Meeting for Students with Disabilities' Affairs in GCC Universities and Higher Education Institutions held in Zayed University at UAE on Wednesday and Thursday, April 20-21, 2016. Professor Reyadh Almehaideb, the Vice President of Zayed University, and Dr. Saleh bin Mohammad Aldousary, the Saudi Cultural Attache to the UAE, had opened the 9th Follow-Up Committee Meeting. The Meeting agenda included many topics, some of which examined the following: - the regulations of admission and registration requirements and the offered majors, - the outstanding experiences in GCC universities and higher education institutions, - the Committee's website, - the utilization of e-learning in the higher education, - the reality of students with disabilities in the GCC universities and higher education institutions, - the mechanisms of activating the international agreement in the GCC universities and higher education institutions, - and display of the outstanding experiences in GCC universities and higher education institutions. In that context, the Vice Rector, Dr. Musalllam Aldousary, stated that the meeting reflected the role of all universities in supporting the students with disabilities during their academic life regarding the academic regulations and the educational supplies. He also stated that Majma'ah University had already gave support to the students with disabilities in the educational administrations within the geographical services scope of MU prior to or during their university life, including providing transportation services and suitable educational equipment, and creating a conducive classroom environment for students.
