COLLEGE OF EDUCATION CELEBRATES THE WORLD TEACHERS' DAY

Under the patronage of MU's rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, and in the presence of the vice-rector for educational affairs, Prof. Muhammad Al-Aboudi, the College of Education in Majmaah held a special celebration on Teacher’s Day. The celebration was attended by a representative from the Education Department, the assistant director for educational affairs, Ms. Noura Al-Rukban, and the head of the Gifted Department, Mr. Ashraf Al-Ofaisan.

The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a thank-you speech to the teachers which was delivered by the dean of the College, Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Othman.

Highlighting the status of the teacher, a short film was shown showcasing how teachers were respected since the founding of this country. 

A seminar was held on this occasion which was presented by Dr. Nasser al-Othman, Dr. Tanf al-Otaibi, Mr. Ashraf al-Ofaisan, and Dr. Asma al-Qutaim.  The speakers addressed issues the primary role of teachers from different aspects.

The seminar was concluded by a speech delivered by the vice-rector, Prof .Al-Aboudi, who appreciated the efforts exerted by teachers in society. 

More than 260 teachers attended a training program conducted in the evening entitled: 'Creative Teaching using Artificial Intelligence Tools' which was presented by Dr. Faisal Al-Shammari.
