A series of seminars about research published in ISI-Scopus journals (First session)

Under the patronage of the vice-rector for graduate studies and scientific research, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, the follow-up of the dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer Al-Harbi, and the supervision of the vice-dean and head of Research Fund Unit, Dr. Huda Al-Barrak, the fourth seminar was held virtually on Tuesday in the presence of many vice-deans of research at multiple Saudi universities. 
Two papers published 2020 in journals of impact fact ranges from 1.39 to 2.49. were discussed in the seminar which was launched by a welcoming speech for Dr. Al-Barrak. 
The first paper entitled “A Genetic-Frog Leaping Algorithm For Text “Document Clustering” was presented by Dr.Lubna Al-Hanaki; and the second one was presented by Dr. Jabeen Sultana on “Diagnosing Breast Cancer Using Support Vector Machine and Multi-Classifiers”. Third paper was presented by Dr. Kayshur Sadif on “: Intrusion Detection Based on Autoencoder and Isolation Forest in Fog Computing”. The fourth paper titled “Gesture Recognition algorithm for visually blind touch interaction optimization using Crow search method” was presented by Dr. Shabnam Aslam. The last paper was presented by Dr. Wala Ahmed and was titled “DeepArSLR: A Novel Signer-Independent Deep Learning Framework for Isolated Arabic Sign Language Gestures Recognition”. 
The discussion featured interventions by researchers about the steps of publishing a paper, and how long each step takes. It also addressed the best way of searching for a journal and the advantages of working as a member of a research team. Challenges facing researchers in publishing and how to overcome them was also touch on. 
The seminar was moderated by Noha Al-Duaiji, Assistant Professor at Computer Science.
