HIS HIGHNESS THE RECTOR PATRONIZES THE CEREMONY OF THIRD BUILDING LAUNCH AT GIRL COLLEGE

In response to the directives of the government and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz to provide all the necessary facilities to build-up an optimal educational environment for students, His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Sa’ad Al-Mogren patronized the ceremony of launching the 3rd building at students college. The launch of this building is part of a series of urgent buildings for girl students at the university. Building No.1 was renovated to be a location of the departments of Applied Medical Science College.

The project also included a number of contracts some are related to the general location of the whole college and the other is concerned about developing electricity station, roads, sidewalks, lights, entrances, exists and water network. The building consists of two floors, yard and internal foyer and has around 42 rooms and labs with a total of 700 square meter. The building cost excluding the other services around 3 million and 500 hundred riyals. The building which was built in around 9 months has a capacity of that can reach  1200 students.     

The ceremony was initiated by a speech for Dr. Mohammad Al-Dwayyash, head of renovating college building committee in Majmaah. In his speech, he mentioned that his building is one of the outcomes of the committee which was established in 1431 and dedicated it efforts around the clock to construct urgent buildings. The committee is also committed to launch the next building for the preparatory year which also includes several halls of multi-functions. Dr. Al-Dawayyash extended his thanks to all government sectors for their cooperation with the university, the departments in the university and the consultant office for supervising and executing the project.

A short film was shown explaining the phases of the project followed by a speech to His Highness the Rector where he stated that this building is a gift to students which came from the generosity of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdel Aziz  and the follow-up of His Highness the Minister of Higher Education and His Deputy. His Highness the Rector also added that he is very content with achievements made so far. He concluded his speech by extending his thanks and appreciation to the committee and all members who contributed immensely to the success of this work.
