With an invitation from Quality Center in Faculty of Engineering, his Excellency Dean of Faculty of Engineering Dr. Mohammad Alsalamah delivered a lecture entitled: "The Phase before the Academic Accreditation Request: Planning for Evaluation" in lectures hall in Faculty of Engineering. It was attended by academic departments heads and teaching staff in the Faculty. His Excellency Dean of Faculty of Engineering said in the lecture that Faculty of Engineering will witness hard and serious work in the beginning of next academic year in order to achieve the conditions and requirements of academic accreditation in all academic departments in the Faculty, and everybody has to get ready for bearing responsibilities of the next phase. Dean of Faculty of Engineering said that the choice now is achieve the international academic accreditation which will lead to achieving the national accreditation. There was a detailed presentation of the stages required to be executed in order to accomplish the academic accreditation in the Faculty, and what is required to be executed in each stage. Then, he discussed the requirements of the first phase of international academic accreditation; this phase includes a closed seminar of documenting and reviewing data to be certain of availability of all required data, then documenting them again. Also, he discussed the topic of whether the graduates are achieving the educational goals of the program they have studied which is named (POEs) in the international academic accreditation program. To make it clear, some samples of these goals from different academic departments in Faculty of Engineering in some international universities were discussed in order to be investigated and analyzed. This will facilitate the selections process based on what is most suitable for the Faculty of Engineering graduates in Almajma'ah University.
