Department Overview

The Department of Educational Sciences was founded since the establishment of the College of Education in 1413 under the name of the Department of Education and Psychology.

The Support Service Department was concerned with providing educational materials for training primary school teachers in the departments.

With the change of the name of the college from the Teacher’s College to the College of Education, the objectives of the Department and the courses changed too.

Mission

Mission: With the value of society in mind based on academic accreditation standards, the College of Education strives to invest in human capacity to build a knowledge society, and optimally utilize knowledge, research and technology.

Overview of Arabic Department

The department was found at the same when the College was established in 1413, a time when the college's name was known as the "Middle College for Training teachers". In 1422, the Department was developed into a Teachers College with the Department of Arabic and Social Sciences, and in 1425, the College changed to the College of Education in Zulfi with the Department of Arabic alone.

Objectives

• To have qualified graduates in the Arabic language and literature
• To promote religious, national and educational values in graduates of the Arabic language
• To have outstanding researchers in the Arabic language and its literature
• To have linguists who are capable of preserving the identity of Arabic language and serve the community at best
• To develop scientific, educational and creative skills of graduate in light of the quality standards
