The Department of Pathology was founded since the establishment of the College of Medicine and includes several units:  Diseased tissue and hematology unit, microbiology unit, biochemistry unit and forensic medicine unit.

The department participates effectively in the educational process and supervises teaching many courses such as: Fundamentals of health and disease, course of hereditary and cancerous diseases, multisystem ailments course, forensic medicine course and toxicology.

Large & small classrooms:

The College has large and small classrooms that feature interactive board to ensure Project-based learning approach is applied.

Laboratories and museums:

Anatomy museums and classroom provide medical students with optimal tools and materials to enable them to transform their knowledge of anatomy into three-dimensional concepts for better understanding of human body.

Organizational Structure 

The Department of Basic Medical Sciences in the College of Medicine at Majmaah University is considered one of the largest departments in the College and contains several units. It is one of the departments that provides the most important basic sciences, which are considered the cornerstone that the medical student needs to move forward in the College of Medicine curriculum for the coming years. It has an active role in preparing study plans. Training students in specialized laboratories equipped for this purpose.

نبذة عن القسم:

العلوم الطبية الأساسية هو أحد أقسام كلية الطب في جامعة المجمعة، يكرس جهوده لتقديم جودة عالية من التعليم والتدريس من خلال أعضاء هيئة تدريس ذوي خبرة في تخصصات علم التشريح، علم الأنسجة، علم وظائف الأعضاء وعلم الصيدلة.

تم إنشاء القسم في عام 2011 ويتكون القسم من 19 عضوًا من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بما في ذلك رئيس القسم.

ووفقًا لمناهج الكلية، يقوم القسم بتدريس ما مجموعه 9 مقررات، يتم تدريس 8 مقررات دراسية لطلاب الطب في السنة الثانية والثالثة، ومقرر واحد في الفصل الدراسي الأول من السنة الرابعة.
