MET in Community Services

The students and faculty members of MET regularly participate in community services to the people of Al Majmaah city. The community got the awareness of medical devices to use by themselves for the basic vital parameters.

Activities: MET Department students and faculty does the following activities.

• Awareness of home medical devices and health parameters through brochures.

• Blood Pressure monitoring.

• Body weight and height measurements.

• Body Mass Index (BMI) measurements

• تعليم وتدريب الطلاب  على تطبيق التدريب الهندسي والبيولوجي في حل المشكلات المتعلقة بالصحة والرعاية الصحية ذات الصلة عالميًا والتي تستند إلى مبادئ أخلاقية سليمة.

  • يهدف البرنامج الى صقل مهارات الطلاب ليكونوا قادة في حياتهم المهنية في الهندسة الطبية الحيوية و المجالات المترابطة بين الصناعة والمجالات الحكومية وكذلك الاوساط الأكاديمية والممارسة السريرية.

  • الانخراط في التعلم المستمر من خلال مواصلة تعليمهم في الدراسات العليا أو التدريس المهني أو من خلال فرص العمل في اماكن مرموقة أو الحصول على تدريب احترافي .

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

1.Adept at applying their engineering and biological training to solving problems related to health and healthcare that are globally relevant and based on ethically sound principles.

2. Leaders in their respective careers in biomedical engineering or interrelated areas of industry, government, academia, and clinical practice. 

المعرفة

K1- معرفة تأثير حلول تكنولوجيا الهندسة الطبية الحيوية في السياق المجتمعي والعالمي.

K2- القدرة على اختيار وتطبيق المعرفة في مجال الرياضيات والعلوم والهندسة والتكنولوجيا لحل مشاكل تكنولوجيا الهندسة الطبية الحيوية والتي تتطلب تطبيق المبادئ والإجراءات أو المنهجيات التطبيقية.

المهارات

S1- القدرة على تصميم مكونات الأنظمةأو العمليات لمشكلات التكنولوجيا الهندسية المحددة على نطاق واسع والمناسبة للأهداف التعليمية لبرنامج تقنية الهندسة الطبية.

Knowledge

K1 - knowledge of the impact of biomedical engineering technology solutions in societal and global context.

K2 - an ability to select and apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to biomedical engineering technology problems that require the application of principles and applied procedures or methodologies.
