نبذة عن القسم ونظام الدراسة فيه :

Overview about the department:

Teaching at the department focuses on general skills of learning English language. Students also take introduction to linguistics, English literature, literary criticism, and translation. The study plan of BA is a combination of all these courses which will enrich students’ knowledge and hone their linguistic skills. During early levels, there is a focus on teaching the four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in addition to grammar before students study specialized courses.

تأهيل كوادر وطنية متميزة ذات كفاءة لغوية وأدبية عالية وقدرات بحثية تنافسية عالمية يمكنها الارتقاء بالمجتمع علمياً وإشباع حاجات سوق العمل المحلي والقومي وذلك كله عبر الوفاء التام بكافة معايير الجودة والاعتماد الأكاديمي محلياً وعلمياً .

أهداف القسم:

1- إعداد الكوادر المتخصصة في اللغة الإنجليزية وآدابها لإشباع سوق العمل المحلي والقومي .

Mission:

By fulfilling all quality standards and academic accreditation locally and scientifically, the department aims to qualify students with high linguistic and literary competence and global competitive research capabilities that can advance society scientifically and meet the needs of local and national labor market.

نهدف في قسم اللغة الإنجليزية إلى أن يُصبِح الطلبة متحدثين طلقين ومبدعين في ممارسة اللغة التي تعد جسر التخاطب والتواصل نحو فهم فكر الشعوب الأخرى وحضاراتها وثقافتها. نرحب بكل من يحمل شغف التعلم ويسعى جاهدًا إلى تطوير لغته، ونضع نصب أعيننا توظيف التقنية بما يخدم عملية التعلم ويحسن جودتها.
