Blood Bank Workshop

The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences held a workshop under the title "Blood Bank". The workshop included scientific lectures presented by a group of faculty members at the college who are specialist in the field. The workshop focused on the importance of blood transfusions, donation mechanism and initial tests and accompanying analytical and preventive procedures. Afterwards, faculty members and a group of students visited the laboratory and Blood Bank in Alzulfi Public Hospital where the technique utilized in the hospital's Blood Bank was described and practically applied.

At the end of the workshop, the head of Medical Laboratory Sciences Department in the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences Dr. Bader M. Al-Shehri presented a memorial shield and an appreciation letter on behalf of the department to the Laboratory and Blood Bank director Mr. AbdulAziz J. Al-Sha'lani, thanking him and the workers in the Blood Bank for the productive cooperation which contributed in the workshop's success.
