1Learning Outcomes of Nursing Department Program

First: Knowledge Skills:

1. The integration of Nursing Science with other fields of knowledge including literature, humanities and other significant fields in nursing, based on the results of recent and future researches.

2.The cognition of physical and mental symptoms and health indicators, development stages, symptoms of common diseases and abnormal health conditions.

3. The identification of the basic concepts in health development, disease prevention, health recovery and the management of chronicle diseases for individuals, families and communities.

Second: Cognitive Skills:

1.The synthesis and analysis of basic knowledge, and the physiological, psychological, mental, social, civilizational, and functioning information of different patients to use it in planning, executing and assessing the delivered nursing care.

2. The utilization of leading skills and critical thinking based on the recent studies in developing an integrated nursing care plan for individuals and communities in order to recover and maintain well-being and prevent diseases.

3. The assessment of the delivered medical care and nursing care services based on moral, legal and professional criteria and health care policies retrieved from recent studies.

Third: Interpersonal Skills and Responsibility:

1. The cooperation with the integrated healthcare team in delivering the nursing care, which must be comprehensive, tolerant, sincere, and respectful to the differences in personalities, beliefs and traditions among the individuals and communities.

2. The effective participation and teamwork within the healthcare institution and in cooperation with other healthcare institutions according to the appropriate strategies to provide the best outcomes of nursing care for the individuals and communities.

Fourth: Information Technology and Communication Skills:

1. The effective communication with healthcare institution, integrated healthcare team, individuals, families and communities in verbal, in written and through the electronic media in order to facilitate and authenticate the delivered nursing and medical care.

2. The optimal utilization of the advanced computer systems and information systems, and the accurate authentication of patient's health documents and information, considering the legal requirements, privacy, confidentiality and the legislation of protecting information.

1. The performance of basic and advanced nursing competencies for all the stages of life cycle and in all the healthcare facilities.
