In light of Majmaah University Rector’s policy for spreading awareness of Research Chairs, the Administration of Research Chairs held an introductory meeting at the Community College on Sunday 03/05/1436 H. under the title “The Role of the Faculty Members in Supporting Research Chairs”. Further, the meeting was held under the direct supervision of the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Shaye. Dr. Abdullah Al-Dahash, the Dean of the Community College, and Dr. Othman Al-Saleh, Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research started the meeting, which was held in the meeting hall at the Community College, with a welcoming speech to the large number of audience from the college faculty members. Following the speeches, Dr. Abdullah Awad Al-Harbi, Chairman of the College Research Chairs, introduced research chairs and pointed out the direct role of the faculty members in them. Then, Dr. Sarhan Rashwan, a member of the Research Chairs Committee, explained the indirect supporting roles of the faculty members for the research chairs through media and marketing in addition to the way of filling out forms of research chair proposals and their main requirements. Discussions and opinions of the college faculty members followed that, praising the meeting and talking about its benefits. At the end of the one-hour meeting, Dr. Saleh, Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Community College, thanked the members of Research Chairs Administration and rewarded them for their positive contribution.
