The Deanship of Library Affairs is associated with the Vice-Rector’s Office for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

1 - Provide information sources and update them in different ways to the central library and the branch libraries at colleges.

2 - Organize information sources at libraries in the best professional manner make the process of access and use of these sources much easier for beneficiaries.

3- Help in providing information services at all libraries of the Deanship based on the needs of beneficiaries and the available resources.

4 - Establish a digital library for the university and improve its services regularly.

5 – Cooperate with libraries and other bodies of common interest, in and outside the University, for the best interest of beneficiaries.

6 – Ensure that the contents of the central library and sub-libraries are indexed annually.

7 - Create a conducive environment for library visitors.

8 - Organize and participate in exhibitions related to libraries and information.

9 - Hold symposia, seminars and courses related to library affairs.

10 - Introduce the scientific production of university staff.

11 - Establish standards, specifications and procedures for the university libraries and their services to ensure excellent services are provided to beneficiaries.

12 - Considering matters referred to it by the university council or rector, the vice-rector for graduate studies and scientific research about study.

13 - Working on developing workflow procedures and mechanisms.

14 - Preparing an annual report and submitting it to the authorized person.
