The Deanship of Graduate Studies is associated with the vice-rector for graduate studies and scientific research

Specialties

1 - Developing or amending the general policy for postgraduate studies, coordinating it in all colleges and institutes of the university, and monitoring its implementation after its approval.

2 - Proposing internal regulations in coordination with the scientific departments with regard to the organization of graduate studies.

3- Developing rules for admission to graduate studies, implementing them, and supervising them.

4 - Approving new programs after being reviewed, and coordinating between them and the existing programs.

5 - Approving postgraduate courses and any subsequent changes.

6- Recommending the titles of higher degrees, both in Arabic and English, based on the recommendations of the college councils.

7- Recommending the award of academic degrees.

8- Making decision about all student affairs related to postgraduate students.

9 - Approving the formation of supervision and viva committees.

10 - Setting the general framework for the research plan, the guidelines of how to write, print, and submit dissertation as well as the forms of viva committee reports.

Dissertations

11 - Evaluating postgraduate programs at the university periodically through committees or specialized bodies inside or outside the university.

12 - Studying the periodic reports submitted by the scientific departments at the university.

13 - Considering matters referred to it by the university council or rector, the vice-rector for graduate studies and scientific research about study.

14 - Working on developing workflow procedures and mechanisms.

15 - Preparing an annual report and submitting it to the authorized person.
