Master of the Qur’an and its Sciences

<p>&nbsp;The Master’s Program in the Qur’an and Its Sciences was launched in the Department of Islamic Studies at the former College of Education in Al-Zulfi at the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 1432/1433 AH. The program was designed in alignment with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, both in terms of credit hours and the nature of its courses. The program comprises a total of 36 credit hours, including 6 hours allocated to the thesis and 30 hours of coursework distributed over three academic semesters.</p><p>Today, the Master’s Program in the Qur’an and Its Sciences at the Department of Islamic Studies, College of Sharia and Law, stands as one of the foundational pillars of this academic institution—especially in light of the scientific renaissance taking place across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve the objectives of Vision 2030.</p><p>The program aims to develop in-depth knowledge and skills among graduate students to prepare national cadres capable of making meaningful contributions to society. This task is undertaken by a distinguished and elite group of faculty members with exceptional academic and practical experience.</p><p>The program is committed to fulfilling its social role by building collaborative bridges with relevant institutions throughout the Kingdom, thereby contributing to the dissemination and advancement of Islamic culture. This effort enhances the department's standing in promoting knowledge across Saudi Arabia.</p><p><strong>Program Vision:</strong></p><p>Leadership and excellence locally and internationally in the field of Qur’an and its Sciences.</p><p><strong>Program Mission:</strong></p><p>To prepare academically, professionally, and research-wise qualified graduates in the Qur’an and its Sciences who are capable of keeping pace with developments, embodying Islamic and national values, fulfilling social responsibility, and competing in the job market.</p><p><strong>Total Credit Hours:</strong> 36 credit hours</p><p><strong>Study System:</strong> Coursework and Thesis</p><p><strong>Study Format:</strong> Regular (Full-time)</p><p><strong>Target Group:</strong> Male and Female Students</p><p><strong>Special Admission Requirement:</strong> Memorization of at least three parts (juz’) of the Qur’an</p><p><strong>Admission Criteria Weighting:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s GPA: 60%</li><li>General Aptitude Test for University Graduates: 40%</li></ul><p><strong>Eligible Undergraduate Majors: </strong>Islamic Studies, Islamic Culture, Fundamentals of Religion, Sharia, Hadith, or other equivalent majors as determined by the academic department.</p><p>The program is offered in two tracks: a tuition-based track and a non-tuition (scholarship-supported) track. The university supports certain non-tuition-based master’s programs, including the Master’s in the Qur’an and Its Sciences.&nbsp;</p>
