Master of Hadith and its Sciences

<p>By the grace and guidance of Allah, the Master’s Program in Hadith and Its Sciences was launched in the Department of Islamic Studies at the former College of Education in Al-Zulfi at the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 1435/1436 AH. The program was established in alignment with academic accreditation and quality assurance standards in terms of credit hours and the content of the curriculum. The total number of credit hours is 36, including 6 hours allocated to the thesis and 30 hours of coursework, distributed across three academic semesters, with the program spanning a total of four semesters.</p><p>Today, the Master’s Program in Hadith and Its Sciences at the Department of Islamic Studies, College of Sharia and Law, is considered one of the key pillars of this academic institution—especially in light of the ongoing scientific and educational renaissance across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in pursuit of the goals set by Vision 2030.</p><p>The program seeks to instill deep knowledge and advanced skills in postgraduate students, preparing them to become capable national cadres who can contribute effectively to society. This mission is carried out by a distinguished team of faculty members with exceptional academic and practical expertise.</p><p>The program is committed to fulfilling its societal role by fostering collaboration with relevant institutions across the Kingdom. This contributes to the dissemination and development of Islamic culture within the community and strengthens the department’s role in spreading knowledge throughout Saudi Arabia.</p><p><strong>Program Vision:</strong></p><p>Leadership and excellence both locally and globally in the field of Hadith and its Sciences.</p><p><strong>Program Mission:</strong></p><p>To prepare graduates with strong academic, professional, and research capabilities in Hadith and its Sciences, who are able to adapt to developments, uphold Islamic and national values, assume social responsibility, and compete in the job market.</p><p><strong>Total Credit Hours:</strong> 36 credit hours</p><p><strong>Study System:</strong> Coursework and Thesis</p><p><strong>Study Format:</strong> Full-time (Regular attendance)</p><p><strong>Target Audience:</strong> Male and female students</p><p><strong>Special Admission Requirement:</strong> Memorization of at least three parts (juz') of the Qur’an</p><p><strong>Admission Criteria Weighting:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s GPA: 60%</li><li>Graduate Aptitude Test Score: 40%</li></ul><p><strong>Eligible Undergraduate Majors:</strong> Islamic Studies, Islamic Culture, Fundamentals of Religion, Sharia, or any equivalent field as determined by the academic department.</p><p>The program is offered in two tracks: one tuition-based and the other tuition-free. The university provides support for certain non-tuition-based master’s programs, including the Master’s Program in Hadith and Its Sciences.</p>
