Overview

The Master's program aims to equip academically and research-qualified individuals with evidence-based practices in community affairs and those related to persons with disabilities. It seeks to support research projects in the field of special education to build an effective entity capable of competing in the scientific laboratory and contributing to society in serving people with disabilities, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Objectives

  2. Preparing researchers in the field of special education to meet the needs of society and its institutions related to people with disabilities.
  3. Fulfilling the university's role in expanding postgraduate studies and its mission to serve Saudi society by advancing the education system and advancing the path of human and cultural cooperation.

Requirements

  1. The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree in special education or a bachelor's degree in educational specializations. If the applicant holds a non-educational bachelor's degree, the applicant must pass a number of supplementary courses approved by the academic department, or hold a diploma in special education from a university recommended by the Ministry of Education with a grade of at least "Very Good" or its equivalent in the bachelor's degree or diploma in education.
  2. It is preferable that the track applied for aligns with the major in the bachelor's degree or diploma in special education.
  3. The applicant must be a Saudi national or receive an official scholarship for graduate studies if they are non-Saudi. If they do not receive a Saudi scholarship, they must be able to pay the full tuition fees.
  4. The applicant must be of good conduct and medically fit.
  5. The applicant must submit two academic recommendations from professors who have previously taught the applicant.
  6. The applicant must attach a university aptitude certificate.
  7. The applicant must pass any tests or personal interviews, if specified by the academic department council.
  8. All required qualifications must be met first through full-time study, followed by correspondence studies.
  9. Graduates of correspondence, private education, and distance education programs must have institutional accreditation from the university from which the applicant graduated. Priority for admission is given to full-time graduates of public universities.
  10. The relative weights for admission to the program are distributed as follows: (60%) based on the bachelor's degree average and (40%) based on the aptitude test score.
