COLLEGE OF MEDICINE HOLDS A WORKSHOP ON SKILLS OF SURGICAL SUTURE

The Continuing Medical Education Unit associated with the Vice-Dean's Office for Clinical Affairs at the College of Medicine held a workshop for students about surgical suture skills using tools simulating real wounds. The workshop featured a theoretical lecture followed by hands-on training on the types of surgical sutures which will qualify graduates for clinical work and acquire important skills. 

Dr. Abdullah Al-Olayan, the vice-dean for clinical affairs, said that such courses and workshops are designed to improve students' practical skills, commending the efforts exerted by the head of Medical Learning Unit, Dr. Abdelmalik Al-Baker, in training around 75 students. 

The workshop was presented by the head of surgical departments at King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah, Dr. Abdelmajeed Al-Mutairi, in the presence of the head of the urology department at the College of Medicine, Dr. Meshari Al-Zahrani.
