 Mobile Medical Services Conducts Medical and Environmental Scan for Citizens In Mabayadh Center

On the basis of the University policy to provide the community with therapeutic and educational services especially people in remote villages and settlements, the University Medical Services Department represented by the mobile clinics conducted a two days field trip to Mabaydh, 55 Km East of Majmaah Governorate. The medical team conducted a medical and environmental scan for KSA citizens and residents. 156 inhabitants and pupils were provided with therapeutic and sensitization services. The 100 pupils of the Mabayadh male school received a general health and dental checkup and the report of each student was forwarded to their parents. Moreover, a sensitization lecture was held at the school and dealt with the Corona Virus. Pupils listened to an introduction on the topic and the prevention tools were explained to them. The preventive medicine team inspected then the hygiene of the facilities of both pupils and teaching staff and appreciated the utmost care the school administration gives to the cleanliness of the institution. The team took then two samples of water (chemical and bacteriological) from the vital places in the village which were tested in the central laboratory of the water department at Majmaah Governorate. The Executive Manager of the Medical Services Dr. Rayyan Ghazi Barakati delivered a speech in which he said that the medical services of Majmaah University being directly supported by the University Rector Dr. Khaled Bin Saad AL Migrin, the College of Medicine dean, and the supervisor of the Medical Services Dr. Khaled Bin Mohamed AL Abdulwahab was honored to visit the Mabayadh Center. Dr. Barakati pointed to the fact that the visit is part of a campaign the department has launched to serve the local community and to put into action a belief in the role of the university to participate in creating the wellbeing of the citizens of KSA. Moreover he said that 156 cases were received and duly cured with the necessary treatment and that some water sources in the region were tested and the results as well as recommendations were sent to the competent authorities to deal with the matter. Dr. Barakati thanked and expressed his gratitude to the team led by the technical affairs assistant medical manager Dr. Asr Shurman and the head of the Mobile Medical Services Dpartment Mr. Tarek AL Turki as well as all participating colleagues. He also thanked the president of the Mabayadh Center for his cooperation and the Mabayadh male school Principal Mr. Khaled AL Sobih for his hospitality and cooperation in the success of the work. The principal of the Mabayadh male school Mr. Khaled AL Sobih extended his thanks first to the University Rector for the efforts Majmaah University has been making to serve the community and second to the Medical Services Department for their exceptional efforts to check the health of all the pupils in the school.
