 Medical Services Department Holds the Largest Corona Sensitization Campaign in University Colleges and Administrations

Upon the directives of the Medicine College Dean, the supervisor of Medical Services Department, Dr. Khaled AL Abdelwahab and under the mutual supervision of the executive supervisor Dr. Rayyan Barakati, the Medical Services Department held a sensitization campaign on Corona Virus in the University. The campaign targeted the employees of administrations, deanships and colleges as well as students both in male and female campuses. The campaign is part of a series of awareness campaigns the Medical Services Department has been carrying in the field of preventive health, which seeks to sensitize employees and students of the prevention tools against Corona in addition to raising the level of social consciousness on the disease and spreading the culture of prevention. The executive staff of the campaign included Dr. Asr Sharman, Dr. Abdelsalem Fakhri from the Preventive Medicine Department, Mr. Saoud AL Doghiem, Mr. Abdulaziz AL Fahd, Mr. Abdulah AL Barghach from the Public Relations Department and Ms. Mona AL Mutiri as a nurse. The team visited the Engineering College, the Applied Medical Sciences College, the College of Sciences and Humanities at Hutat Sudir, the College of Sciences and Humanities at the Rumah Governorate, the Applied Medical Sciences College (female Campus), the Deanship of Distance and Electronic Learning, the Deanship of Library Affairs, the Medical Services Department, the Project Administration Department, The General Department of Development, the Follow Up Department, King Salman Institute, the Internal Audit Department, the Department of Strategic Planning, the Maintenance Department and Riyadh AL Ibdaa private school at Majmaah City. The team provided a comprehensive analysis of the virus, the date of first detection, the prevention means and its contagion channels. The PowerPoint explanations were conducted by Mr. Abdulaziz AL Fahd who upon the end of every lecture would give the floor to the audience to ask questions. The accompanying physician would then answer the queries and distribute brochures, a mask and a sterilizer. The campaign was hailed and praised by the targeted sections. Dr, Barakati, the executive director stressed the fact that when spread the Corona Virus bears varying danger degrees which starts by a simple flu to reach a severe pulmonary infection. Dr. Barakati pointed also to the importance of sensitization and health guidance on the contagion channels of the virus, its treatment and the prevention tools.
