A series of seminars about research published in ISI-Scopus journals (second session)

Under the patronage of the vice-rector for graduate studies and scientific research, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, the follow-up of the dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer Al-Harbi, and the supervision of the vice-dean and head of Research Fund Unit, Dr. Huda Al-Barrak, the second seminar was held virtually on Tuesday in the presence of many vice-deans of research at multiple Saudi universities.

Two papers published 2020 in journals of impact fact ranges from 1.39 to 2.49. were discussed in the seminar which was launched by a welcoming speech for Dr. Al-Barrak.

The first paper entitled “Prevalence and First Molecular Characterization of Ehrlichia canis in Egyptian dogs” was presented by Dr. Jawaher Al-Ouhaidib; and the second one was presented by Dr. Samah Abdelkareem on “Transitivity: An Application of Halliday’s Systemic-functional Grammar to Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea”.

The discussion featured interventions by researchers about the steps of publishing a paper, and how long each step takes. It also addressed the best way of searching for a journal and the advantages of working as a member of a research team. Challenges facing researchers in publishing and how to overcome them was also touch on.

The seminar was moderated by Dr. Al-Barrak and Dr. Muna Tawakul, Associate Professor at College of Education.
