A series of seminars about research published in ISI-Scopus journals

Under the patronage of the vice-rector for graduate studies and scientific research, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, the follow-up of the dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer Al-Harbi, and the supervision of the vice-dean and head of Research Fund Unit, Dr. Huda Al-Barrak, the first seminar was held virtually on Wednesday in the presence of many vice-deans of research at multiple Saudi universities. 

Four papers published in 2020 at journals of impact fact ranges from 1.39 to 2.49. were discussed in the seminar.

The first paper entitled “Pharmacovigilance knowledge and attitude of health Professionals: A pre and Post intervention study.” was presented by Dr.Sawsan Mustafa; the second one was presented by Dr. Asma Al-Anizi on “Effects of Smartphone Addiction on Children’s Lung Function”; the third paper was presented by Dr. Wala Mohammed on “Association Between Hip Rotation and Activation of the Quadriceps and Gluteus Maximus in Male Runners”; the last paper was presented by Dr. Shahinaz Hassan on “Efficacy of a supervised intervention protocol on rounded shoulder posture among Saudi young”.

The discussion featured interventions by researchers about the steps of publishing a paper, and how long each step takes. It also addressed the best way of searching for a journal and the advantages of working as a member of a research team. Challenges facing researchers in publishing and how to overcome them was also touch on. 

The seminar was moderated by Dr. Dana Al-Yahya, Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at College of Applied Medical Sciences.
