Held on the morning of Sunday, 19.2.1432 AH at the Office of the e Rector Dr. Khaled bin Saad al-Muqrin, a press conference organized by the Department of Public Relations and University Media, through which His Excellency threw light on the University budget for this year and provided an overview of the approved projects for the University.
Where he began the conference with a speech in which he gave his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz - may Allah bless him - and his deputy Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, and the Second Deputy Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz may them be protected by Allah for what was devoted to the Majmaa’h University from the budget of the State this year, amounting to(358 994 million rials) three hundred and fifty-eight million, nine hundred and ninety-four thousand riyals, up to 20% from last year's budget, and Dr. Khalid expressed his happiness with the budget indicating that as much as the Majmaa’h University will further the progress of the University and will enable it to achieve a number of planned objectives and complete what was started in its first year to develop and improve, and to provide all the necessary requirements for all administrations of the university of deanships , colleges and departments, to include buildings and laboratories and extends to the development of the capacities of individuals and programs, so that the development at the University extends to everything, Allah willing, His Excellency then spoke about strategic projects approved for the Majmaa’h University from the Ministry of Higher Education, one billion and 700 million riyals are:
Management of the University, the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, College of Administrative Sciences, College of Engineering, and the buildings of the preparatory year, student accommodation, general location, and roads within the university, the power plant, wastewater treatment plants and wells.
As well as the College of Education, Boys and girls in the province of Zulfi, and the Faculty of Sciences and Humanities in the province of Ghat . As regards to the Faculty of Science and Humanities in Sudair and Rumah, the land now is under allocation and then ask for approval after the allocation which reached 70% of the agreement in this regard.
Costs of these projects including construction, equipment and furnishings, approach nearly one billion, seven hundred million riyals and will be implemented in stages. They are considered a leap in the history of the university, and important support for its future.
The Rector indicated that the budget for the Majmaa’h University covered important projects for Information Technology, Computer, and polarization, and the preparatory year, wages, and quality, in addition to the usual programs of Ventures and maintenance, and repair and the additions, and so on.
Also , positions of leadership and assistance and academic were approved ,that cover the University need at the time present, and goes in line with its gradual future plans .
He added that this budget for the fiscal year 1432/1433 AH is, in fact, the amount of the amounts costs approved for projects which are about one billion and seven hundred million riyals, is considered a great gain to the university in its headquarter, and in the provinces associated with the Majmaa’h University.
This budget will be directed, together with the amounts of the approved costs for projects in the service of higher education in this university for serving its students, boys and girls, and its employees.
It points out to an honest and insightful will of the leadership of this country, may Allah bless and help, to raise the level of higher education, and to care about the infrastructure, constructions and headquarters, equipment and techniques. This is what the Ministry of Higher Education and all its departments confirm and is keen to achieve.

At the end of the conference, The Rector reviewed some of the achievements of the University during its first year, and so the university good selection of administrative leaderships, academics, and create the ideal environment for work that helped to give and produce, through the steps of development that extends to everything in the university, buildings and laboratories, individuals and programs , with the outstanding administrative regulations, as most of the departments has been formed and a full establishment of the assisting Deanships according to the latest plans and programs in the oldest University, and the application of organizational structures . and implementing the registration system with a developed electronic system , and the completion of the financial and administrative electronic system, and the independence of the university in all administrative and financial procedures, , and the start of training courses to raise the level of performance for employees of the university, in addition to the signing of the university of two cooperation agreements with two international universities , and a cooperation agreement with the Directorate General of Health Affairs in Riyadh, and the signing of the strategic plan of the university with experienced international and domestic agencies and with a principal participation of a team from within the university in the preparation of the formulation of the plan, and to complete the first phase of the polarization programs successfully, and develop programs of study and the adoption of the preparatory year, and the inauguration of the faculties of Medicine and Dentistry of the University and the Faculty of Science and Humanities Remah, with the initiative in providing excellent services to the community through the Deanship of Community Service, as well as the participation of the University in the international exhibition for higher education. And participate in Career Day in Washington and London. And to celebrate the graduations of the first group of students under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and the presence of His Excellency the Vice President.
