DR. ZEYAD AL-DURAIS VISITS MU

The former representative of Saudi Arabia in UNESCO Dr. Zeyad Al-Durais delivered a lecture titled “ Can an Arab chair UNESCO? At the auditorium of main campus. The event took place in the presence of Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, Rector and MU Vice-Rector, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih.  Dr. Khalid Al-Ofaisan, Dean of Students’ Affairs, launched the event with a brief biography about Dr. Al-Durais. The lecture focused on several topics related to UNSECO such efforts of Saudi Arabia for the organization, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue, Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Program for supporting Arabic Language in UNESCO and the major reasons that impede Arabs to chairs UNESCO.The lecture was concluded with Q&A session followed awarding Dr. Al-Durais with a memorial shield for his contributions.
