DEANSHIP OF LIBRARIES AFFAIRS HOLDS A TRAINING COURSE ON UTILIZING THE DATABASE CLINICAL KEY FOR MEDICAL COLLEGES

Deanship of Libraries Affairs in collaboration with the publisher ELSEVIER held a training course in university city theater on the database Clinical Key. His Excellency Dean of Libraries Affairs Dr. Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al Omran opened the session, and he offered thanks to the presence of faculty members and students. Then, he spoke about the importance of making good use of electronic information sources as these sources are filled with the latest information and multiple types. On top of that, these information resources are provided in different kinds and are always available. After that, a presentation by Dr. Osama Khamees on how to access and register in Saudi Digital Library. He introduced it along with its amazing features and how to conduct unified research in it. However, the main part of this session was presented by Engineer Maged Sweis, the delegate from the publisher ELSEVIER about using the database Clinical Key and how to search, browse, and deal with the results in this database. The trainees have fully interacted with the material given in the course as it was attended a large number of trainees such as faculty female and male members, female and male students around (103) trainees. These trainees come from four different colleges: Faculty of Medicine, College of Applied Medical Sciences, Faculty of Sciences in Alzulfi and Faculty of Dentistry in Alzulfi. Also, the training course was broadcasted live to female faculty members and female students at College of Applied Medical Sciences for female students.
