His Highness the Rector Dr. Khaled Bin Sa'ad Al-Mogren expressed deep sorrow for the death of His Royal Highness Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, considering his death a great loss to the country and the whole nation. He expressed his condolences on his behalf and on behalf of all employees of the university to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and royal family as well as Saudi people and the Arab and Islamic nation. He prayed that Allah Almighty may grant peace and grace upon his grave. His Highness also said: The death of Prince Naif is a great shock as the country lost one of its great leaders who had characteristics that rarely can be found in a man. He was a living example of humility, tolerance, generosity, good manners, and a kind face. He was also patriotic and devoted his life to protect this land as well as his defensive position against religion. He set an example in how a Muslim should adhere to principles and values and the stability of this country. Prince Naif adopted remarkable stance that deserve to be appreciated and shall be remain in our memory for years to come. He also had an outstanding biography since his appointment as a deputy of Riyadh, prince of Riyadh region and governor of Riyadh Region, followed by Deputy of Minister of Interior then Minister of Interior, and finally as a Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister. He also held a number of positions such as Hajj Supreme Committee, which is deemed as one of the difficult and heavy tasks. He also chaired a number of committees and boards of a number of bodies and national councils. Moreover, he was also the founder of Executive Commission for the Prince Naif Ibn Abdul Aziz International Award for the prophetic Sunnah and Contemporary Islamic Studies which is one of the awards that have affected the arena of Islamic Science and the Sunnah.He was also known for his supervision of humanitarian and charitable committees and campaigns in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prince Naif was so close to citizens and was always concerns about their requirements and needs. He was also concerned about Saudization of jobs. He had remarkable positions in caring about prisoners the families of martyrs. He continued his development of the security forces through training and continuing education as well as eradicating crime and protect society from all what may threaten its security and safety.
He also made a great and sustained effort to fight against smugglers and drug dealers beside his objectivity in tackling problems in media. He was always encouraging the exchange of views with full transparency and clarity. He also achieved on the external level a lot of achievements and was granted the Honorary Presidency of Arab Interior Ministers Council.He was also honorary president for a number of committees and bodies as well as his membership of several other of them. Due to his his leadership personality, he was able to strengthen the security of Arab and to play role in a number of agreements of Arab security in a number of areas. For instance, he worked on the completion of the Arab Convention against Terrorism, signed by the Ministers of Interior and Arab justice. He also made efforts to make the Interior Ministers closer to citizens. He has also established a number of universities in Saudi Arabia and overseas. He also received a number of medals and honorary doctorates. May Allah grant peace upon his grave and reward him with heaven.
