MU ACTING RECTOR COMMENDS THE OLC’S STUDY ABOUT THE STATE OF ONLINE LEARNING IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA AMID COVID-19

The acting rector, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, expressed his gratitude towards the study conducted by the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) about the state of online learning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the pandemic of Covid-19.

The study stated the commendable efforts of the Kingdom in dealing with the rapid changes in education and the ability to ensure that the learning process is maintained despite the insurmountable challenges emerged during the pandemic.

Prof. Al-Dosari pointed out that drawing a comparison between the Kingdom’s e-learning platform and seven of the best worldwide platform in 174 countries is an overwhelming evidence of the success attained which is attributed to the unconditional support that the educational sector receives from the government led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Crown Prince.

Over the past period, technology has been harnessed to support learning and the highest rate of knowledge was gained based on approved study plan, added the acting rector.

Concluding his remarks, Prof. Al-Dosari expressed his thanks to the vice-rectors, deans and directors of administrations for their efforts to ensure the success of online learning.
