EXCELLENCE DEPARTMENT AT THE VICE-RECTOR-SHIP ORGANIZES A WORKSHOP : FACULTY MEMBER'S PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT

The assessment of faculty members’ performance is a vital issue for the quality requirements. Therefore, a workshop titled “ Faculty Member Performance Assessment” was held by the excellence department at the vice-rector-ship for academic affairs. The workshop was presented by Dr. Abdullah A. Al-Harbi, Prof. Mahmood Murad, Dr. Ahmed Abo-Zeeb and prepared by Dr. Muna Tawakul.

The workshop focused on highlighting the importance of assessment for developing the teaching performance for faculty members as well as developing their academic and profession skills which will inevitably be reflected on the quality of higher education. The workshop was concluded with a number of recommendations, on top of which is holding training courses for faculty members in the field of assessment and development and awarding the best faculty member which will be considered as a great encouragement for them.
