MU SIGNS MOU WITH MINISTRY OF NATIONAL GUARD

The Vice-Rector's Office for Graduate Studies & Scientific Research, MU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of National Guard to seek mutual cooperation and to promote the public awareness through forums, seminars, program and training.

Prof. Saleh Al-Shehri, the vice-rector, represented MU in the signing of the MoU which took during the university's participation in the exhibition organized by the Ministry of National Guard.

The signing was held during the university’s participation in the exhibition of the Ministry of National Guard on the Social Responsibility Day. The university's pavilion focused on introducing the university since its founding including its colleges and scientific departments, as well as  the university's library affairs, scientific, cultural and research activity. It also highlighted the activities in the field of social responsibility and the volunteer opportunities it provides that serve all segments of society.

A number of leaders of the Ministry of National Guard and guests visited the university's pavilion including the Undersecretary of the Ministry of the National Guard, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna, and the head of the military apparatus in charge, Major General Saleh Al-Harbi. They were both welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Al-Shehri, and the director of the General Administration of Libraries and Knowledge Resources, Dr. Lulu Al-Amer, and the director of the General Administration of Relations and Conferences, Mr. Nasser Al-Yousef.

Prof. Al-Shehri, pointed out that the role of universities is not limited to providing educational and research services, but rather goes beyond that to enabling a system of applied and advisory services.

I hope we exert more efforts to develop strategies and methodologies for joint cooperation, share best practices to have expertise and information, and exchange experiences on issues of interest to both parties, which will contribute to the success of such agreements.
