In the light of the attention paid by university leadership to the project of second strategic plan for the University of 2020/ 1440 AH. The Vice-rector, Dr. Musalam bin Mohammed Al Dosari, sponsored the first coordinating workshop for the teams who are working on the project. This workshop has been organized by the committee of preparing the second strategic plan for the university on Monday, 17/6 /1436 AH.
The workshop began with an introduction by the chairman of the committee of preparing strategic plan Prof. Mohammad bin Othman Alrukban. After that, the Vice-rector thanked him and the teams who are working on the plan, and pronounced in his speech that his presence to this workshop is to be attended as a participant in the events. His Excellency stressed that the committee of preparing the second strategic plan achieved perfect job under the chairmanship of the Rector consultant in preparation time for creating plan and this undoubtedly shows that the teams who are working in the creating plan has been carefully selected, and this appears through the professional work which has done.
His Excellency confirmed in his speech at the importance of cooperative work and full cooperation between the teams which is followed to the committee of preparing strategic plan through making the concerted workshops continuously together. He also pointed out that this procedure will prevent the individual efforts which undoubtedly hamper integrative work which is supposed to prevail among all teams in building the strategic plan of the university.
The Vice-rector noted that the Vice Rectorship supports and blesses all the efforts that made by the committee of preparing strategic plan with all kinds of support they need, and this support comes because of its importance being done by this committee and teams who are working with it.
After that, the activities of the workshop started showing presentations by teams who are working on the project, and oriented by the committee of preparing the second strategic plan. These teams are: the team of analyzing the national trends in higher education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the team of personification the reality of the university, the team of studying the global trends and future changes in higher education. At the end of the workshop, a number of supported recommendations to the teams' effort were drafted .
