Translating and Publishing the student book

1-The translator has to submit a request for translating a student book to the chairperson of the concerned department with filling in the form.

2-If the department   approves  the translation project of the students book, it will nominate a number of six specialized  evaluators and attach the course specification. The department shall be committed to incorporate  the translated book in the syllabus  plan as a teaching course for a period of three years started from the printing date

3-If the College agree to the recommendation of the Department council, the dean will refer the decree of the council department and college to the manager of Publishing and Translation Center.

4-The project has to be investigated by the administration  council of Publishing and Translation Center In case of giving consent, the translator will be noticed of the preliminary consent.

5-The Publishing and Translation Center has to correspond the publisher   to obtain his consent and an original copy of the illustrations and drawing. The center will bear all incurred costs due to publishing permission.

6-Having obtained the publishing permission, the Translation center will automatically enter into agreement with the translator to start his translation.

7-The translator is committed to translate the whole content of the book, including the introduction, the illustrations explanation and indexes. The illustrations have to be saved in the form Tiff or in the form of Photoshop. In addition, the translator should provide his own introduction to the book.

8-Having finished the translation of the book, the translator has to be responsible for providing  a number of three copies to the Publishing and Translation Center, a number of three original copies and CD.

9-The Board of directors  of Publishing and Translation Center has to be entitled to form a committee to review the project, which is composed    of three evaluators.

10-Each evaluator is held accountable for providing a detailed report which states whether the translated book is valid to be published by the University; in addition, it suggests the necessary modifications.

11-The board of directors of Publishing and Translation Center has to review the reports of the evaluators. Following the consent of the board of directors to translate the book, if the report of the evaluators suggest any kind of modification, these modifications have to be given to the translator to either reconsider them or  justify their invalidity.

12-The book project will be discussed by the board of directors of Publishing and Translation to review the modifications, with the possibility of resorting to a specialist, and confirm its  publishing.

13-The book project,  book CD copy, the original copies of the illustrations, and  a copy from the contract with the foreign publishing have to be referred to the board of directors. The committee of the scientific publishing council will suggest the potential number of the published copies and assess the remuneration given to the translation, editor and proofreader.

14-The scientific council has to investigate the recommendations of the committee and refer the book project to the Publishing and Translation Center for the completion of the printing process.

15- The remuneration  proposed by the scientific council  shall be  paid  after   fully completing  the necessary steps of the printing process  of the book. Subsequently , it will address the Publishing and Translation Center for paying such remuneration to the author.
