General Note for all paragraphs

General Note for all paragraphs and sub-paragraphs in all the pages of the form:

- Instructions must be read in English about the information that is required to be mentioned, detailed or complied with, then when such information is set,  these instructions must be deleted because it has been set for researchers not for assessors. It is also important not to neglect the detailed information that is required in each sub-paragraph, and not just mentioning that information in its own tables only,  but the tables are meant to list  a summary of what was mentioned in those paragraphs. Also  these tables can not be as a substitute for the required detailed information . What should be noted is that the tables must be in the same specific paragraph in the proposal, where assembling these tables at the end of the proposal is completely wrong.

-  Proposals will be sent to external evaluators, where the proposal should not include the deletion of Arabic texts and replaced them by English ones or permanently delete them if there is no possibility to be translated.

- Commitment that the proposal should be with line  Times New Roman font, size 12 (normal) as well as  resumes and any other accessories . Also, what should be noted is the coordination of  tables and forms so that they can be in one page as much as possible.

-How to fill  tables D1-2: goals that are included in the Project Objectives should be stated sequentially , or in the form chosen by the researcher, but with the same content and that will be in the first field of the table and within the text,  where putting numbers or summaries in that field is completely wrong. Then, in the second field, the researcher should mention the way of work adopted by researchers  to achieve all the planned goals.

- How to fill tables D1-3: As mentioned in (4) above, the objectives contained in the Project Objectives, must be placed in the first field not forgetting the stages that will undertake the implementation of all these goals in the second field. Then tasks, work and the ways followed in achieving each of these goals should be mentioned  in the third field.

- How to fill tables  D1-4: names of assistant researchers should be mentioned in the first field,  then the role of each assistant researcher as well as how long they will work during the period of the completion of the research should be listed  in the second field opposite to the first field. The period of work mentioned previously for each participant in the research should be exactly the same that would receive under which the financial allocations in the budget table.

- How to fill tables D1-5:  stages, work, and tasks should be listed  in the first field, opposite to the first field, in the second field,  names of researchers who are responsible for the implementation of that stage. Then,  the months should be determined during which the  phase will be completed in the next fields.

- How to fill tables D1-6: This  table is considered as one of the most important tables because it reflects the fact whether the proposal occurs within the strategic proposals or not. The expected results should be listed in the first field through the stages of implementing the research. In the second field, instead of mentioning, etc…, Goal 1, Goal 2, we mention by text the strategic goals of the technical program which the proposal is included within( such as the strategic goals of the biotechnology Technology Program), which will be achieved by the research.

Strategic objectives are available in the Booklet of Strategic Programs  of Technology and Science, or can be obtained from the Site of the city http://www.kacst.edu.sa/en/research/Pages/default.aspx and is not necessarily to achieve the whole strategic objectives by the  proposed research, but the results must include what confirms their occurrence in accordance with the aspirations of the these strategic goals. Then, when mentioning the expected results in the first field, a mark of  (true) or (      ) is ticked in the second  field / fields and under the second strategic objective, which is mentioned and matched with the result in the first field. Then in the third field, the goal, that will be achieved out of set of goals that are mentioned by the proposal in Project Objectives, should be listed. In addition to mention these objectives by text, but not in numbers or symbols in order to be clear and seamless to the external assessor.

- How to fill table D1-7 budget table fields are clear, where the required details should be set as well as the audited figures, then  matching the final total with what is mentioned in the first page under the budget of the proposal.

- How to fill  table D1-8: It is important to fill this table and put the signatures of the major researcher as well as the participant researchers
