General guidelines for the preparation of research projects

General guidelines for the preparation of research projects of the National Plan for Science, Technology, and Innovation:

- Ensure that the proposed project is within the approved technical tracks of the strategic technologies.

-  The project has to come up with the expected interest on Community Development in the Kingdom.

-  The budget of the project should not exceed two million riyals, and within a period not exceeding 24 months, otherwise accompanied report with clear justification has to be submitted.

- The number of the research team has to be reasonable, as well as clarifying the  task of each member.

- The project should include one postgraduate student at least.

- If the project requires expensive equipments or supplies, detailed information must be accompanied about the devices, as well as the justifications for requesting such devices, and what other projects that these devices will be used for in future, if these devices are still available.

- The project plan should be prepared according to the Projects Management Methodology, as well as the use of  Microsoft Program MS Project as possible.
