MU RECTOR EXPRESSES HIS APPRECIATION TO CUSTODIAN OF THE TWO HOLY MOSQUES AND CROWN PRINCE FOR THE SUCCESS OF THE DISTANCE LEARNING EFFORTS

MU Rector Dr. Khalid Al Muqrin expressed his appreciation to King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their interest in education and the provision of all possible means for development, especially under the current exceptional circumstances and challenges. This interest has resulted in the success of the efforts of distance learning during the second semester of 1441 academic year despite the challenges put forth by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Rector also congratulated the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, for overcoming the current challenges and achieving a remarkable success supported with evidence and statistics confirming the success of distance education in the Kingdom and proving the transition from regular education to distance education in such a short period of time using a perfect methodology to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership, which seeks to improve education and ensure that students acquire the knowledge and skills needed in this age.
His Excellency likewise praised the successful efforts made by the University educational and administrative staff, including the Vice-Rectors, Deans, Vice-Deans and department managers aimed at the accomplishment of distance learning as the best choice given the current circumstances.
“The reports and statistics along with students’ great interaction proved distance learning a great success in such times and this has confirmed the readiness of the University for any scenario the future may hold”, His Excellency said.

Furthermore, Dr. Hamad also congratulated the students, particularly the graduates, on passing this stage despite the obvious difficulties and challenges, and he called upon the graduating students to serve their communities and their country well and devotedly.

“Thank you Lord for the blessings of security, peace and stability that our leaders have worked hard to realize in our country,” Dr. Hamad concluded.
