MU RECTOR LAUNCHES AWARENESS RAISING CAMPAIGN FOR RATIONALIZING CONSUMPTION

In view of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, MU rector, Dr. Al-Mugren, has launched a campaign for raising awareness on how to rationalize consumption. The event also included signing a number of memorandum of understanding with the branch of Ministry of Commerce and Investment in Majmaah, Remah and Zulfi.

Dr. Musa’ed Al-Harbi delivered a speech explaining the aim of the campaign and its significance for it becomes a national and social necessity and also in consistence with the nation new economic reform agenda for achieving 2030 vision. This new orientation adopted by the country, added Dr. Al-Harbi, should also see a change in the culture of spending among the Saudi people.

“signing such memos is an obvious evidence of the important role played by the university to raise the awareness of consumers and educate them about their rights and their duties which will contribute in change the culture of spending to match the country’s orientation” noted Dr. Al-Harbi.

This campaign is only one of the many initiatives proposed and executed by the Social Responsibility Observatory in serving the local community.
