The missions of the
committee are described in the following:
1. Developing framework and
regulations for recruiting staff with high credentials academically and
technically whether from inside the Kingdom or outside.
2. Creating samples that
help to define specializations, academic or technical positions and other
needs.
3. Specifying dates for
requests submission from faculties, dates and periods of committees
travel.
4. Defining countries where
recruitment should take place in according to the needed specializations.
5. Receiving faculties'
requests for recruiting academically and technically qualified staff based on
class schedules, return of those who are on overseas scholarships and those are
going to get laid off.
6. Stressing on the point
that faculties should continue looking for staff with high credentials through
available mediators such as Saudi Attaches abroad, recruitment offices abroad
and specific recruitment website. Also, this helps finalize things before the
committee travels overseas.
7. Defining samples of
contracts and other documents for the committee and its members to be aware of
all recruitment procedures, allowances, bonuses and increments.
8. Making sure that those
who are members in the recruitment committee (deans, departments' heads,
teaching staff) are fully aware of all the recruitment procedures and the
responsibilities for signing a contract.
9. In case the university asks any of the
university employees to travel for recruiting purposes, this will be done
according to a clear plan from the committee. In addition, a report of his last
trip must be submitted in order to see what he achieved in the last trip.
10. Studying everything in
relation with recruitment including exceptional increments, specifying its
types and percentage and attracting highly qualified staff to work in
university and recommending them.
