MU HOLDS A WORKSHOP ENTITLED “EPIDEMIOLOGICAL MONITORING AND WORK PROGRESS IN LIGHT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC”

Under the patronage of the vice-rector, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, a workshop was held by MU entitled “Epidemiological monitoring and work progress in light of covid-19 pandemic”.  

Sharing the university’s experience in epidemiological monitoring and its positive impact on the progress of educational process, the vice-rector pointed out that the university has a clear and precise plan about the progress of work which is evaluated via reports submitted by concerned departments to the university administration.  

The workshop addressed four themes as follow:

Theme one: Health protocols to prevent COVID-19 in the educational environment, presented by Dr. Mohammed Dawood.

Theme two: Educational requirements in light of health protocols to curb COVID-19 disease, presented by Dr. Alulu Al-Amer.

Theme three: MU role in setting up vaccination centers for local community, presented by Dr. Abdelrahman Al-Ameer.

Theme four: Operational flexibility in the university environment under health protocols.

The workshop ended with a Q&A session followed making a number of recommendations which featured: supporting distance education, building capacity to conduct online tests, supporting innovation for technical solutions of teaching and learning, funding scientific research to protect from epidemics, listing, adopting sterilization and prevention standards, and preparing contingency plans to deal with epidemics and crises.
