MU CELEBRATES CIVIL DEFENSE INTERNATIONAL DAY

The Deanship of Community Service and Continues Education (DCSCE) sponsored a wide-range of activities held to celebrate the International Day of Civil Defense.
The celebration of the International Day of Civil Defense was inaugurated by the Governor of Majmaah, Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal.
In a speech delivered during a rhetorical ceremony, the Vice Dean of Educational Affairs at DCSCE, Dr. Abdelkareem Al-Harbi, commended the efforts of the Civil Defense Department in raising public awareness on safety.
Dr. Omar bin Mousaed Al-Sharyoufi, the Dean of Community Service, said that this participation comes at the request of the University Rector Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Muqrin and the Vice Rector Prof. Musallam bin Mohammed Al-Dosari to achieve the third role of the university aimed at serving the community.
The Vice-Rector, Prof. Al-Dosari paid a visit to the associated exhibition of the event where he was welcomed by the head of operation department, Colonel Khalid Abanmi, the head of safety department, Colonel Yassir Al-Jawa’an and the Director of the General Administration of Occupational Health and Environment, Sami Al-Mutairi.
During the visit, Prof. Al-Dosari was briefed about the instructions and methods of precautions and safety.
The General Administration of Occupational Health and Environment at MU participated in the last year exhibition of International Day of Civil Defense which was held at Majmaah Mall under the theme “Safety First”.
Mr. Al-Mutairi pointed out that this participation manifests the interest of the university leadership to cooperate with other sectors in increasing the awareness of community members with safety instructions and its importance in avoid risk.
