GOVERNOR OF MAJMAH VISITS MU INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR REHABILITATION TECHNOLOGY AND PROSTHETICS

The Governor of Majmah, Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal, visited Majmah University International Center for Rehabilitation Techniques and Prosthetics at the University Medical colleges complex.
The Governor was accompanied by Governor of Al-Zulfi His Excellency Mr. Misfir bin Ghaleb al-Otaibi, and the head of the Hautat Sudair Center Mr. Fahad Saleh al-Zekri.
During their visit, His Highness and his companions listened to a detailed explanation from MU Rector Dr. Khalid Al Muqrin and the Center Supervisor, Dr. Mazen Al Qahtani about the center's sections and services.
Dr. Mazen stated during the tour that the Center had been established on 24/12/2017 following the approval of the Rector and the Minister of Education - President of the University Board – in the second University Board meeting in 1437/1438 as part of the University mission to serve science, technology, education, health education, academic research and other activities including the duties of the Center. The objective of the Center is to be at the top of medical rehabilitation, sports medicine and prosthetic production through working on the development of the abilities of people with special needs in order to rehabilitate them so that they can achieve social integration and individual development. Playing a role in raising community awareness towards dealing with people with disabilities is also part of the objectives of the Center. Moreover, the mission of the Center aims to help athletes to compete to the highest levels of performance by providing them with the latest equipment and rehabilitation techniques that can support them in their sports journeys. For his part, the University Rector thanked His Highness the Governor of Majmah Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal and his companions for their visit, considering that such visits support the fruitful partnerships and constructive cooperation while serving the country and the citizens. “From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of everyone at Majmah University, I’d like to thank you your Highness for your presence and your motivational words that give us a reason to continue doing our best in service to our country,” the Rector concluded.
