WORLD ARTHRITIS DAY CELEBRATED BY COLLEGE OF MEDICINE WITH 40 VOLUNTEERS AND OVER 100 CONSULTATIONS

The College of Medicine held a medical and awareness campaign for arthritis under the patronage of the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education (DCSCE) and in cooperation with Saudi Society for Rheumatology, King Khalid Hospital and the Charitable Association for Rheumatism Disease.
The campaign was held at Majmaah mall under the theme “ Time to Work” and was launched by the Vice-Dean for DCSCE, Dr. Adel Al-Turki, the head of Internal Medicine Department, Dr. Faheed Al-Anazi and the head of Physiotherapy Department, Dr. Khalid Al-Ghamidi. The campaign is part of a series of medical and awareness campaigns against rheumatism held in different regions of Saudi Arabia.
The Dean of College of Medicine, Dr. Khalid Al-Abdelwahab, expressed his gratitude with such exceptional campaigns that serve all segments of the society. the medical campaign was organized and ran by the Internal Medicine Department in cooperation with the Public and Documentation Unit at the college.
The campaign included six clinics for providing medical consultations to adults and children by experts. Forty volunteers from different departments participated in the campaign.
Over 100 visitors have availed themselves of the campaign, and no less than 20 cases were transferred to King Khalid Hospital for further diagnose.
The Dean, Dr. Al-Abdelwahab expressed his thanks to sponsors of this campaign, the director of King Khalid Hospital, Dr. Khalid Al-Ghatani and the chairman of SSR, Dr. Hanan Al-Rayas, as well as to volunteers for their care of patients.
