DEPARTMENTS CONTRIBUTED IN WINNING GENEVA PRIZE AWARDED BY MU RECTOR

Under the patronage of Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren and in the presence of vice-rectors, deans and directors, an award ceremony was held to award all departments that have played a significant role in the winning of MU a number of certificates of excellence at the World Summit on the Information Society 2019 held in Geneva. A record number of 1,140 projects from 193 countries have competed for the prestigious WSIS Prizes 2019. Saudi Arabia was honored for 8 projects, 3 of which have been won by Majmaah University.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Wanien, Dean of Information Technology, launched the award ceremony by congratulating MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, this achievement and thanked him for invariably following-up the progress of work at MU to achieve the National Transformation Program 2020. Thanks were also extended to Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, Vice-Rector, all participants departments in this success and IT staff for their remarkable efforts to develop these systems, an initiative undertaken by in-house Saudi staff from IT Dean’s Office.
Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, MU Rector, congratulated all MU staff this success and considered it to be an extension of a series of extraordinary achievements locally which qualified the University to compete internationally.
